MARBLE POLISHING

Although the term "polishing" may seem simple enough, there can often be much more behind it. There are several different forms of polishing. Typically, your end goal is to have your floors or vanities shiny.

It is our job to determine which method of polishing will produce your desired results at a minimal cost. Many times, we can spray polish a floor with a crystallizer. This builds salt crystals and helps tighten surface pores which in turn, improve the overall sheen. this process is great for a "spruce-me-up" or preventive maintenance. However, this does not remove scratches or deep etches.

Another way we can polish surfaces is using a powder polish. This works two ways. There are tiny grits in the polish that do minimal re-surfacing allowing to tighten surface pores and, the product is acidic. When water is applies, it activates the acid to react to the calcium found in most polished marble surfaces. Using a floor machine, this product can do much more than a basic spray polish. It will not remove heavy scratches but will remove most etches if they are not too bad.
